The second module in our 'Bridging the Gap' programme, which is designed to help students make a strong start at Warlingham Sixth Form College, is designed to help you prepare for your specific courses.

All subject leaders have provided transition booklets for their courses.  These booklets contain information and activities specific to each course, including a course overview, sixth form skill development, research and reading/viewing opportunities plus work and resources. College and subject expectations are provided and all students are encouraged to engage with as many of the activities as they are able to so that they arrive next year with a well-organised folder containing the notes and resources they have created based on following the activities set.  This is important to ensure that all students have started to develop the skills and attitudes required to be successful when studying post 16.

As well as preparing students for particular courses, working through the booklets will help students to explore potential subjects in more detail, and thus make informed choices about their options.
