Join our staff
Tandridge Learning Trust is a strong partnership of exceptional schools committed to providing a caring and nurturing learning environment that delivers equity and excellence in education.
To join our team, you will be professional, dedicated, caring and ambitious so that you are able to embrace and benefit from our core values of Equity, Collaboration and Integrity.
Being a relatively small Multi Academy Trust, you will find that working for us is like joining an extended family where we support each other, develop partnerships and grow together. We recognise that our people are the key to success, and we want to create a working environment that recognises the contribution staff make and supports everyone to achieve their very best.
Staff Benefits
Professional Development and Training
We believe in supporting the growth of our staff and hold regular reviews and opportunities to identify and meet developmental needs. We offer comprehensive Continuous Professional Development (CPD), whether you are support staff, a new teacher, experienced middle leader or have aspirations to become a senior leader. Career pathways enable staff to aspire and progress in their chosen professional direction with a focus on internal progression wherever possible. In addition, we encourage our staff to learn from each other and collaborate on a variety of working groups and cross-trust forums.
We have a thorough and supportive onboarding, induction and probationary process.
A collaborative, trust-wide approach, enables staff to benefit from a range of internal and external activities and support throughout their careers. This includes conferences where we all come together.
We offer excellent opportunities in both primary and secondary teacher training. Our SCITT routes and School Direct courses are particularly attractive for those wishing to secure an ECT opportunity within our schools. Similarly, our commitment and support to new teachers whilst they undertake their two-year ECT programme is outstanding.
We have also developed and are continuing to develop internal training programmes, which help staff gain the skills they need to advance. These include our unique Leadership Development Programme and Senior Leadership Development Programme.
Pension Schemes
You will have the option to join one of our excellent pension schemes, helping you, your employer and the government to save for your future: the Teachers Pension Scheme (TPS) for teaching staff and the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) for support staff.
Both schemes offer flexibility in retirement, in-service death grant, family benefits, and ill-health protection, all of which means you will be saving for a better retirement!
Lifestyle and Retail Discounts
We offer access to multi-store discounts and savings through our benefits platform, e.g. vouchers for high street retailers such as John Lewis. We also offer discounted nursery places at our on-site nurseries and at Camp4Champs which runs during school holiday periods at Warlingham.
We offer eye care vouchers for DSE users.
Generous Sickness and Holiday / Leave Entitlement
Our generous maternity and paternity leave schemes offer enhanced pay and leave arrangements, supporting families and recognising the importance of a healthy work/life balance.
Occupational sick pay is paid for all staff from day one, and we also have family-friendly/flexible policies regarding special leave for unexpected or special events.
Our support staff receive between 26 and 30 days of annual leave on top of the eight days of Bank Holidays. Annual leave is dependent on length of service and is on a pro rata basis for part-time employees.
Tandridge Learning Trust may recognise continuous service from other academies and maintained schools on a discretionary basis.
Employee Assistance Programme / Wellbeing Support
We wish to create positive working environments where individuals can thrive, but we understand that sometimes, a range of factors can result in individual struggles. We have a growing agenda of wellbeing support, including wellbeing afternoons when staff can pick from a menu of activities. In the past, these have included Craft Therapy, Gong Sound Therapy, Meditation and Mindfulness, Self-Relaxation Techniques, and Tai Chi to name a few.
We also offer all staff access to an external 24-hour helpline for information, help and guidance.
Staff Sports and Social Events
Our staff enjoy informal social gatherings and hold quiz nights, games nights and BBQs. We also have a number of staff sports activities on offer such as swimming, gym, basketball and badminton.
We welcome speculative enquiries should a vacancy not be immediately available. Please email HR@TandridgeLearningTrust.co.uk with your contact details, and we will get in touch as and when vacancies arise.
